The owner is the one who shows up.

BluePeak is owner-operated out of Raleigh. Branden moved from New York to North Carolina, found the water here was a different problem entirely, and built the business around fixing it properly.

He does the water test himself. 85+ systems later, that has not changed: no commissioned closer, no script, no two-hour presentation at your kitchen table.

Every system is installed by a licensed North Carolina plumber. We do not cut corners on who touches your water lines.

Two very different problems

Are you on city water or a well?

This is the first thing we need to know, because it changes the equipment completely.

City water

Chlorine or chloramine, disinfection byproducts, and taste and smell complaints, often with some hardness on top. Usually catalytic carbon, with or without softening. Simpler to solve, and the systems cost less.

Well water

Iron, hydrogen sulfide, sediment, low pH and sometimes bacteria. These often have to be handled in stages, which is why we test before we quote. Wells are a meaningful share of what we do, especially in the outer counties.

How much does a whole-home water filtration system cost in Raleigh?

Our whole-home systems run from $2,349 to $5,995 installed, depending on whether you're on city water or a well, and what your water test turns up. City water systems are simpler — usually carbon filtration, sometimes paired with softening. Well water costs more because it's a harder problem: iron, sulfur, sediment and pH often have to be handled in stages. Every price on this site is the real installed price for a garage or accessible waterline. We don't quote a range and then surprise you.

Do I actually need a filtration system if my city water is legal?

Legal and clean aren't the same standard. Municipal water in the Triangle meets every federal and state requirement, and the utilities do their job well. But the standards regulate a specific list of contaminants at specific levels — they don't cover taste, they don't cover chlorine byproducts, and they don't cover everything that's been found in Piedmont surface water over the last decade. Whether you need a system is a question about what's actually coming out of your tap and what bothers you. That's what the free test is for. If your water's fine, we'll tell you that.

Is the water test really free?

Yes. We come to your home, test at your kitchen sink, and show you the results while we're standing there. No fee, no obligation, no PDF emailed to you three days later. It takes about fifteen minutes.

How long does installation take?

Most whole-home systems are a half day. A reverse osmosis drinking system under the sink is usually two to three hours. If you need both, plan on one full day.

What's the warranty?

Covered from your install day. Valve moving parts (piston, seals, spacers): as long as you own the home. Valve electronics (screen, circuit board, timer, motor): 5 years. Tanks: manufacturer's warranty — we file the claim for you. Filter media and resin: 1 year against defects. Drinking water (reverse osmosis) system: 1 year. Whole-home UV system: 1 year. UV bulb is a yearly replacement, not covered. Installation: 1 year. Any leak or fault at a connection made during your install is fixed free, parts and labor. After year 1: covered parts are still free; the service visit to install them is charged and quoted first. Full terms are in your customer agreement.

Do you work on well water?

Yes, and it's a meaningful share of what we do. Wells in Wake, Harnett, Chatham and Johnston counties commonly come back with iron, hydrogen sulfide, sediment or low pH. Those need genuinely different equipment than a city water home — which is why we test first instead of quoting off a price list.
